I just found this article in Wikipedia:
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin-Tin

Doesn't the tribal god resemble the one from The Broken Ear? Could it have been a source of inspiration for Hergé?

Moderator Note: The article being in Spanish makes it difficult for anyone who does not speak or read the language to make a comment; however the fetish that served as the model for the one in The Broken Ear is to be found in the Art & History Museum (previously known as the Musée du Cinquantenaire) in Brussels.
If you can offer a summary of what the Wikipedia article is saying, then a discussion about the god Tin/ Tin-Tin/ Tintin might be interesting!
