Tintin meets three strong characters that bear names connected with historic men:

- the horse 'Rocinante' (Soviets, p.95-A1) is homonymous with Don Quijote's one, in the book by Cervantes*.
- the dog 'Brutus' (Unicorn, p.48-D4) bears the name of a close friend -and assassin- of Julius Caesar*.

Which other similar strong character met by Tintin was given the name of a friend of Dante Alighieri*?

Please quote album, name & type of character.

Beatrice Portinari. I believe she and Dante were lovers at some point.

Beatrice is the name of the rather feisty horse Tintin encounters in Tintin in America.

Is this vaguely close yamilah?

Well done Ranko! Maybe those 'not so sympathetic'* characters are meant to draw people's attention 'invisibly' on better known ones such as those written in bold above -and on some 'cryptic game' possibly connected with the quotes from Caesar, Dante and Cervantes found in Tintin?

Anyway, your turn to set the next question!

Nice question. I actually remembered it from a painting 'Dante and Beatrice'. didn't know they were that close though.

Do you think there is a reason behind such powerful names for animals, yamilah?

Remember the quotes from Caesar, Dante and Cervantes: those are likely more powerful to help you with the "Crypto-game"... Please see my edited post just above.
