Tintin is sent to buy bulls eyes for Professor Phostle in The Shooting Star. But which other traditional boiled sweet is mentioned somewhere in the series?

Name of sweet, page and album please!

I'm at work, It's lunchtime, so what better way to pass 10 minutes than to attempt this question...

In The Castafiore Emerald Snowy finds the Castafiore emerald on the ground after the Thomsons drop it. He has his paw resting on it saying something like "Here's your Brandy Ball" My feeble brain won't tell me the page number though!! (It's near the back)

Brandy Balls are red hard boiled sweets that have been around since the 19th century. I've read that they used to be dissolved in Irish moonshine to create a more palatable flavour!

[I'm home. It's on P61 :-))

Spot on! A well-deserved point to you, Ranko, and I hand the question-setting baton to you.

Mmm, I wouldn't mind trying some brandy balls now! Why are there no old-fashioned sweet shops open at twenty past six on a Friday night?
