I probably speak for most members here that this site could use some more pictures and images to spruce it up, especially in the characters guide section, but that's just my two cents; we could use some more suggestions anyways.

A Tintin encyclopedia wouldn't be a bad idea either

Robert, thanks for your suggestions. We intend to use as many images as we are legally permitted. More images will be introduced gradually.

Adding portraits to the characters guide is a task on our list of things to do, and we hope to get to it one day. Anyone happy to help?

Cant we have the option to choose an avatar? Though please never permit signatures on this site. I love the simple plain look and each page loads in a flash.

But as per avatars are concerned, will anyone choose any other character's avatar except Tintin? Btw I am willing to help with any image necessities on this site.

I will have Jocko! I think you'll find few people will choose tintin and many people have usernames inspired by other characters.

Though I enjoy making my own icons, I fund it incredibly refreshing to stumble upon a forum without the use of heavy imagery.

I think that icons or signature slogans can be very interesting. A Bulgarian friend showed a Slavic Nationalist Forum where many members often had slogans or icons, and that told quite a bit about the identities of the people on the thread. This could be fun!

I wonder how you came to think that? Did you run a survey? ;-)

I like the plain and simple interface, so I’m happy without avatars and icons, and really can’t see that they add a great deal (other than clutter) to sites which use them.

I’d also imagine that the issues surrounding using Hergé images on the site (for purposes other than illustrating a character guide) would fall foul of Moulinsart’s charter, so best avoided, I think.

I don't really see the need for pictures either, this site has some great articles and guides about Tintin and I fail to see what sticking a picture of Tintin in would add to the work since we all know what he looks like.
