Tintin and the terrific tomb

A quirky story in today's Guardian. A tomb bearing the name Haddock has been given listed status - Tintin and the terrific tomb

The article suggests there is a link between the seafaring Haddocks of Leigh-On-Sea and Hergé's Captain Haddock. It's possible there is a connection but I'm not sure that's been fully established, or has it?
