Tintin: The first metrosexual?

Here's a thought: Tintin was the precursor to the modern metrosexual! Think about it. He's prim and proper, but still man enough to weild a gun. He does yoga in the morning and notice that Snowy is always impeccably clean. I think that if he existed today, he's be a pioneer of the man-capri pants... (I drew a pic of what I think he'd look like in modern times, but won't give the link so the moderators don't eat me alive. :D )

Haha...! Metrosexual...! When you think about it, it could be true !
How funny! Tintin fit in very well in today's culture, I think.

"Metrosexual" was a term created in 1994 by the journalist Mark Simpson in an article in The Independent newspaper in Britain. It plays on the words metropolitan and heterosexual, and he used it to describe young city dwelling men, who were paying attention to their appearance, styling and use of cosmetic products in a manner which might previously have been thought to be stereotypes of homosexual men.

It's become somewhat confused and misused over the years, often ascribed to elements of effeminacy and emotional behaviour, perhaps missing the narcissistic, rather shallow, machismo elements which Simpson was talking about.
