Aside from Rum (Scottish Island, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%B9m)
that kind of matches 'rum' (alcoholic drink featuring in Crab, Unicorn, Red Rackham & Sea Sharks),
which real-life Scottish Island is more directly quoted in the albums?

Please quote island's name, album and page.

The clue is this Scottish 'Ile' belongs to the 'Hebrides' Islands (local 'Innseachan', an 'hybrid' name that can also mean 'Indies', according to liable sources) and it's 'hybrid' name is used for a pun!

It's not Isay is it? "I say, Professor..." is uttered by Tintin in Destination Moon, page 11, C2, and must be elsewhere in the series too.

It's much more direct, and features in one album only!

I'm afraid Cava doesn't belong to the Hebrides, erroneously but historically named 'Hybrides'*...
Thanks for trying.

No, but it does belong to the Orkneys, and is therefore a Scottish Island…
It may be disqualified for not having a mention in the books or whatever, but it can’t be dis-regarded on geographical reasons.

Is belonging to the Hebrides now a new condition for the question?

Maybe you should read the clue given yesterday?

It wasn’t so much a clue as a new condition, was it? The question doesn’t require a correct answer to be in The Hebrides, just a Scottish island.

Rik’s answer would fulfill the question as set (were it also to meet the condition of being in a book), so it potentially could be counted as an alternative correct answer under the terms of the quiz, although maybe not the answer you were thinking of.

Update: Sorry Richard, I didn’t mean to overlook the fact that you also made an honourable stab at the answer, and may be due something under adjudication…!

Maybe some moderator should be moderated?

Or is he only trying -by polluting the question and maybe the answer- to suggest most craftily an unknown issue of Tintin?
