Q137: Newly born
I'm only new. Just born. 00 years old, to be precise. Who or what am i referring to? Which book? Page number nice, but not necessary.

As it's been over 24 hours since you posted this, you may now provide the players with a clue.

Okay... thinking... I'm a what, rather than a who. I'm something mechanical.

"00 years old", to be precise.

(I'm on Australian time so sorry if I'm reading these replies at a different time zone to you guys. I'll put up another clue in the morning - 12 hours from now, if no one has it.)

I believe youre asking about the shark-submarine version 2. Discovered by Haddock when he is getting something to drink from the hold in the book Red Rackham's Treasure.

The first submarine which we don't know how long Calculus been working on breaks, so the one used by Tintin is version 2 and was "born" during the book.

Don't have the book on hand but it is first seen, as steelplates in the cargohold around...page twentysomething?

Hi labrador road 26,

Sorry, but no cigar. I like your thinking, though. I'll narrow it down and say that it's a machine used for transporting people and it's not a car.

It's now been 48 hours, so time to give the answer I'm afraid.

Okay. It's the aeroplane from King Ottokar's Sceptre on page 17 & 18. The markings on the plane are: "00 AGE".

Hope that's not too cryptic.

Cheers

Edit: Looks like it's over to someone else to ask the next question. I'm ready and waiting to pounce!

Might be worth mentioning the OO avatar can also be the registration code for Belgian aircrafts!;)
