What would happen if the Thom(p)sons were in 'America'

Listen to this funny idea I had for Tintin in America. I know this did not really happen, nor could it happen, as the Thom(p)sons were not introduced into the series when Tintin in America was published, but I think it is a very funny idea and I wanted to share it with you all: The Thompsons need to go to the United States to also hunt down gangsters and criminals, but of course, they need to don "American disguise." so, they get themselves tricorner hats (the hat of the American revolution) and wear their hair in ponytails (common hairstyle of the revolution.) many funny things would spring from this, one probably being them being asked why they were dressed like that and also being told that it was nowhere near the 4th of July. what does everyone else think would happen?

Do you really think they'd dress like Paul Revere if they went to the US? Seeing as how the US doesn't techically have a national dress, the man at the costume shop would be stumped by the request for "american national dress"...

Actually, I'd like to see the Thompsons in jeans, sneakers, t-shirts and trucker's caps! Mwahaha!

Tintin sort of does the T&T thing by wearing his cowboy gear in the new city scene.

The thing about T&T is that they stand out, so it wouldn't be jeans for them. It'd have to be the Colonial costume I think
