Q155: Who reckons...

Thank you Balthezar for your advice and Ranko for giving me the turn to ask.

Now again,

Who reckons that "1+2 is better than 1Â½ + 1Â½"?
Name the album and the context (or pagenumber).

As usual,, I dont have the albums with me but is the answer Captain Haddock?

IN Prisoners of the Sun (dont have page number sorry), Haddock and the Thompson twins are both searching for Tintin. The Thompsons submit that one and a half persons should go one way and one and a half should go the other way. Captain Haddock puts them in their place by saying he will make his own way while they go in another direction.

Therefore Capitain Haddock thinks 1+2 is better than the 1.5 + 1.5 suggested by the Thompsons

That's exactly what I meant. I hope my question wasn't too easy to solve. It takes some time to find the right degree of difficulty.

Nah it did require some thought. I admit I did get it quite quickly by chance but its not readily obvious and quite cryptic. Now I need to think of a question..
